Team Building Activities. Why?
Team building is one of the most important organization development activities. It helps the workers to gain leadership skills, learn how to work together, acquire self development skills and build positive communication within the organization. For it to be effective the right team building activities should be selected. One of the main determinants of the activities to be selected during a team building session largely dwells on the kind of skills that the participants would like to acquire. If the participants are people who are in the managerial level, they most need communication and leadership skills, therefore the kind of activities which are selected for the team building session largely ought to be geared towards instilling these skills. Team building activities largely consists of a number of tasks which are designed to develop the group members to a point where they can effectively work together.
